After much deliberation....the Nikon D90! And I also got a second lens, a telephoto 17-300 that just about makes my heart stop. (The price tag didn't help, but I tell myself I'll probably use this camera for 20 years. Knock wood!) So far, so confusing. :-|
I can't believe you're gone now! Thanks for coming over!!!! We missed you both the minute you left. I wish we had better pictures. I blame myself. I'm a total fidget when getting photographed. It's really best that I don't know it's happening.
Michelle ~ Right?!? Thank you SO much for your help...that last link was so very helpful, and clarified a lot of things I had confused between different models. I've been having fun experimenting, and I have to admit...I doubt I'll ever need more than the auto setting(s). The automatic backlit setting is changing my life! :)
Ah, a 17-300 lens, you will *love* that. I have an 18-200 as my 90%-of-the-time lens, and it's great. (There's been an ad for an 18-270 on the DC subway system for MONTHS, taunting me.)
You are the hostess with the mostess. We had such a great time. But it turns out it's a good thing we left when we did (even though you thought we were deserting you!)--the hotel's valet parking ends at midnight, and we got back with minutes to spare....
Yay! Which one did you get??
